Bettendorf Library Foundation Announces New Staff Appointments
Heather Brummel, president of the Bettendorf Library Foundation Board, announced today that Deborah Stafford has been selected as the new Executive Director of the Foundation.
“Stafford’s background in both education and business makes her the perfect choice for this position”, stated Brummel. “She has all the necessary skills to lead the Foundation.” In addition, Stafford has had extensive experience in the volunteer sector – both in fund raising and in organizing for local charitable organizations and hospitals. Stafford, a long time Quad Citian lives in Bettendorf with her husband, Hugh.
“We are ready to take the Foundation to the next level. And we feel Ms. Stafford is the person that can best lead the way to ensure that the Library continues meeting the needs of the community – today and tomorrow. ” said Steven Nielsen, Bettendorf Library Director.
Also joining the Foundation is Colleen Webb. Colleen is a long time resident of the Quad City area and is pursuing her Business Administration degree at Western Illinois University, Moline, IL. Colleen’s experience is diverse in the finance, human resource, business relations and customer support areas. Her background in finance will be a tremendous asset in her work for the library.
The Bettendorf Public Library Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization established in 1983 to seek private sector support for maintaining the excellence of programs and services offered by the Bettendorf Public Library.
