Meatballs, pajamas, and snowflakes at the Putnam!

November is all about fun for families at the Putnam IMAX! Experience everything from six-story family-friendly flicks to pajama parties to snowflake science! Trek over to the Putnam for days and nights of fun at one of the region’s most-loved venues!

It’s the most delicious thing since macaroni meet cheese! Now playing in IMAX 3D, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs brings the beloved children’s book to life on the six-story screen! The animated 3D adventure tells the story of a town where food falls from the sky like rain! It features the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Andy Samberg, Bruce Campbell, Mr. T, and Neil Patrick Harris. Tickets are $10/adults; $8/seniors 60+; and $7/youth ages 3-12. Putnam members receive discounted admission.

Are you a budding scientist? Then Putnam Explorers is for you! This once-a-month science club is for 2nd through 6th graders, and is just $9 each or $6 for members! December’s class (1:30-3:30 on Sunday, December 6) focuses on Frozen Science! Discover why cold is so cool! Have some frigid fun as we investigate insulation, construct a comet, create ice art, and mix up a frosty treat. Call (563) 324-1054, ext. 242 to secure your spot!

The magic returns in IMAX 3D! Polar Express: An IMAX 3D Experience returns to the giant screen November 20 for a special engagement! It’s your chance to be a kid again when everyone gets in for the youth price of $7! This holiday classic is a must-see for all ages!

Then join us for the BIGGEST Pajama Party in town! Children of all ages are invited to attend this fun event from 6-9pm on Friday, December 11! PJ partygoers will experience Polar Express 3D as it was meant to be seen — in your pjs and with hot cocoa! After the movie, it’s BYOF — bring your own flashlight — for a lights-out museum experience! Finish off the night by making holiday ornaments in Santa’s workshop!
