Quad Cities Senior Olympics – June 25-26, 2010
Quad Cities Senior Olympics will hold the 20th Annual Games, June 25-26, 2010, at Augustana College and over 16 other Quad-Cities venues. There are over 90 athletic and arts (literary, heritage, performing, visual) events for participation, fellowship, enjoyment, and friendly competition.
Participants must be 50 or over by June 25, 2010. However, again this year, track and field and swimming masters events are open for those 40 or over.
This year for the 20th Annual event, there is no entry fee. Each participant may enter any and all events, attend opening and closing ceremonies, receive a meal at the closing ceremonies free of charge.
T-shirts are available for $10.00.
Medals (gold, silver and bronze) are awarded for the top three finishers in each event 5-year age group for men and women. Being active and healthy is the best way to help reduce all of our health care costs! Use the Quad Cities Senior Olympics to help motivate you to become more active. You may practice each Tuesday evening at the Augustana Paul V. Olsen Track. Practices begin at 6:00 p.m. and run throughout the summer months.
