Hilltop Campus Village – Fall Music Festival – Saturday, September 14

The 4th Annual Hilltop Campus Village Fall Music Festival is once again to be held at the Hilltop Plaza, 15th and Harrison Streets in Davenport. Since its inception, this event has provided live music, food vendors, beverages and children’s activities, all with the intention of raising awareness of this vital part of the Quad-City community. It is free to the public and will be held Saturday, September 14 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This year will be special as the celebration coincides with the opening of the Harrison Lofts, a multi-story mixed-use complex being build right across the street from the Hilltop Plaza. People have watched with great anticipation through the spring and summer as the 60-unit residential complex rose along the west side of Harrison. Now they can see it up close and personal. It is anticipated that there will also be parking on the west side of Harrison Street, a recent change and something not seen in many, many years.

The volunteers organizing the event chose a Saturday in mid-September to make more certain the weather is everything it should be. The same spectacular music will be back, with the dynamic Tons o Fun Band appearing on stage with an offering of multiple styles of tunes. Persons interested in learning about the band can visit them on their FACEBOOK page. Be sure to friend them while there!

The Hilltop Campus Village volunteers who help stage this event are grateful to the local food vendors who will be providing dinner fare, and the local brewers and distributors who will have both adult and children’s beverages for sale. Principal sponsors for this event also include the City of Davenport, Sherman and Associates, Wells Fargo Bank and Trust, Cumulus Broadcasting, QC Times, WQPT and others.
