QC Breast Cancer Support Group (Iowa and Illinois): First Tues of each month from 7-9 p.m., Trinity Bettendorf, 4500 Utica Ridge Road.  Third Wed of each month from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Bring your lunch, Butterworth Center, 1105-8th Street, Moline. New MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Support Group to meet in Iowa – Becky Pilcher will facilitate a MS Support Group. Prostate Cancer: Us, Too, Greater Quad City Cancer Support Group – Support Group for those dealing with Prostate Cancer or who had prostate cancer. Group meets the 3rd Thurs. of each month, except December from 7-9 pm. Location alternates between Trinity Medical Center, 7th St. Campus and the Genesis Adler Health Education Center, 1236 E. Suicide Support Group  2209 3rd Avenue, Rock Island. Christian Care provides a confidential support group to serve and include those who have contemplated or attempted suicide or those coping with the loss of friend or family member due to suicide. Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT – also known as Triad) meets monthly at 9:30-11 a.m. on the 4th Wednesday of each month at CASI 1035 W. Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA. No meeting in November or December – Hope to see you January 28th, 2015. Joe Hutter, along with representatives from Scott County, Davenport and Bettendorf law enforcement agencies, and other senior advocates meet to discuss; scams in the area, how to be a savvy senior, identity theft and other issues. Dancing and Dance Classes

Monthly Dancing at the Viking Club – The Viking Club is located at 1450 41st Street, Moline, IL.  The local chapter of USA Dance is sponsoring a dance on the 2nd Saturday of each month in 2015. The cost for the dance including a Free Lesson is $10 for non-members and $7 for members. Payable at the door the night of the dance. Singles and couples of all ages are welcome.  Doors open at 6:30 PM.  Lesson from 7-8 PM and social dancing from 8-11PM. DJ provides the music. Requests are welcomed. Trivia Night – VFW Post 6174 in Eldridge is hosting it’s 2nd annual Trivia Night on Saturday January 10, 2015. It is being held at the Eldridge Community Canter, 400 South 16th Avenue, Eldridge. Doors open at 6:30, first round is at 7:00 Eight players to a table; $80 fee for the table. “Mulligans” and “Doublers” will be sold. First prize $160*, Second Prize $80* All Proceeds will go to Veterans aid in this area with a good portion going to the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. Food may be brought into the Community Center, but all drinks must be purchased there. To pre-register a team, please call (563) 285-8613 to be assigned a table. Walk-ins will be welcomed as long as we have empty tables. *We will need a minimum of six tables to give out this amount.

The Davenport Breakfast Lions Club invites any man or woman seeking an active organization and to participate in many activities, to visit us at the HICKORY GARDENS RESTAURANT at 6:30 a.m. on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month.  The Lions are one of the world’s largest service organizations.
