A Gift to Yourself and Your Children
By Anne Coffman
Marketing Director at Ridgecrest Village
Here at Ridgecrest, we are always happy to give tours to visitors and show them the many amenities Ridgecrest has to offer. Sometimes our visitors are the potential residents themselves. They take their time looking around and deciding which apartment suits them best. They may already be in the process of selling their house and have things well planned out. Those moves usually go quite smoothly.
Other times our visitors are children of potential residents. In these cases, they are looking for a place for one or both of their parents for any number of reasons. Often there has been a health crisis, such as Mom has fallen and cannot go back home. Or Dad has stopped eating and can no longer care for himself anymore. We try to accommodate everyone we can, but when this situation arises suddenly, the stress tends to be very high. There are many details to consider, and the moving process can be overwhelming on top of the loved one’s health issues.
To avoid these stressful situations for yourself and your loved ones, we give the advice that our residents give to anyone thinking of living at Ridgecrest, which is “Don’t wait until you must move. Come while you can enjoy everything we have to offer!” Enjoy a maintenance-free, secure community full of fun and social people. We encourage you to consider this not only for yourself, but also for your children.
Do yourself a favor, talk to your children, tell them you are considering moving to a retirement community while you can enjoy it. You will have the ability to do it at your own pace, and on your own terms. Make your retirement living enjoyable, happy, and as healthy as possible. We invite you to schedule a no hassle tour today. Call Karen at (563) 388-3563.
Ridgecrest Village is proud to be a part of the Quad Cities for 55 years and to be chosen the “Best Retirement Community” for the second year running as well as “Best Assisted Living 2021.”
