I have always had a love for travel and planning travel, even when I was a kid. I remember when I was 12, we took our family vacation to St. Louis, and I planned all our activities, came up with hotel options, picked out what we were doing on what days, etc. And this was all before the internet, so I literally looked through those AAA travel books they used to have and actually had to read and do research! Oh my!

I had the most amazing grandparents, on both sides. My father’s parents were very active and did a lot of traveling. They took us on many trips; Colorado, Door County, Wisconsin, northern Michigan to Mackinac Island and a train ride up into Canada, and once to see our cousins in Florida. But the best one of all was they took each of the grandchildren on a cruise when we graduated high school. It was a trip I’ll never forget. I think they really enhanced my love for travel and being able to see more of this beautiful world. I really want to create these memories for other families.
