Like a Dream

We are like a fever dream,
Fleeing before the morning light,
At least, so it may seem,
Fleeing before the rising night.
Day and night bracket our days,
With the existence of our lives.
Each day breaks with sun’s rays,
Signaling the quotidian arrives.
Our lives dream on and on,
From night till day and to dawn.

Oh, Spring!

A gust of air tousles your hair,
You stride on without a care,
For it is at last the varying time,
And life about feels very fine.
Birds twitter, buds burst out,
This is what life is all about.
A breeze whispers in the trees,
Flowers are romanced by bees,
Amid the luxuriant leafing green,
Oh, spring! Where have you been!
