A Pause for Poetry

Sunrise Poems

Dawn reveals morning’s bright hue,
Streaks of manifold color imbue!
Gold, amber, mauve and rose,
What beauty on this day arose!
The shine of the breaking day,
Cheers us more than we can say.
Sun on horizon beckons eyes,
To beauty once again we rise.
The many sunrises of our time,
Beautiful poems of sun and rhyme.

Saffron Dawn

When drear fog veils the landscape,
Where is a safe way to escape?
The future is socked in, opaque,
What to do for goodness sake?
Often we must travel on blind faith,
Our reality no more than a wraith.
Patience empowers us to at last see,
To move forward, secure in the lee.
The sun unveils a bright new horizon,
And we can now see the saffron dawn.
