Parker Audiology Proudly Opens Second Location

By Dr. Molly Parker, Audiologist and Owner
Parker Audiolology, P.C.

Parker Audiology, P.C., is proud to announce the opening of a second location at 2440 Tech Drive in Bettendorf (near the Library). We are now located in both Davenport and Bettendorf.

Says Dr. Molly Parker, “This has been a very personal story for me; I love that our team helps people hear. We want family and friends to be able to talk more easily with our patients; we really strive to change lives.” Each of our four Audiologists has a private story relating to hearing loss.
Formerly, Don White Hearing Aid Service, Parker Audiology opened in 2010 in Davenport at historical 5-Points.  Since that time Parker Audiology, P.C. has grown, opening a new office in 2012 in Davenport (next to Popcorn Charlie’s). We are now opening a location closer to more of our patients in Bettendorf Iowa.

Molly’s entire team, Dr. Alison Soto, Dr. Ali Hunt, Tricia Gross, and Molly Parker,  has worked hard to make sure our Eastern Quad Cities are served with attention to detail for improved hearing. Thank you to our wonderful community for allowing us to help you hear better!
Specializing in Hearing and Communication

  • We have four audiologists on our team who focus on hearing loss, communication strategies, tinnitus, wax removal, hearing protection, and other hearing/communication based needs .
  • We have a pediatric audiologist on staff! She’s located in our Davenport office.
  • Our Davenport office has walk-in hours, and we take appointments in both locations.
  • We absolutely love our patients because we each personally know what they go through when they cannot hear.
  • We are excited to have our newest staff member, Tricia Gross, who has already practiced in the Quad City area for 14 years.
  • We care about protecting hearing. We support our local student Trapshooters in protecting their hearing. We also support students involved in other noisy activities such as Drum Corps that protect their ears.
  • Our staff personally relates to our patients’ hearing loss

Our team of audiologists have each had their own personal experiences that help them relate well to our patients’ hearing problems. For more information about our caring staff, you can visit the 50+ Lifestyles website at http://www.50PlusLife.com to read previous articles about the staff at Parker Audiology. In the May 2012 issue, owner Molly Parker discusses her empathy for those with hearing problems, and in the March 2013 issue she relates how her own personal hearing loss, as well as the minimal hearing loss of her spouse have inspired her in her work to help others with hearing loss. In the February 2017 issue of 50+ Lifestyles, audiologist Tricia Gross shared her college experiences that led her into a career as an audiologist.

Hearing Aids & Moisture

As we come upon a new season, I want to highlight some common signs of moisture problems. Moisture is defined as sweat, oil, wax and/or condensation into the hearing aids. The effect of moisture means that:

  • Sound cuts in and out
  • Sound Fades
  • Static, distortion, or crackling sound quality
  • Hearing aids work intermittently
  • Shortened battery life
  • Corrosion in the battery compartments.

If you are having difficulty with moisture concerns, we want you to schedule an appointment, and allow us to check over your technology so that we can make better recommendations to keep moisture out of your hearing aids. If you have specific questions, we are here to help! Please call us at (563) 326-5441.

Sincerely,
Molly Parker, Owner
