Mother’s Day Eve – All Saturday, May 13th at Hilltop Campus Village

Come to the Hilltop Campus Village on Saturday May 13 to take part in a special celebration. The merchants of the Hilltop Merchants Association invite you for a fun day of shopping and activities for the whole family.

Grab your morning coffee from Village Inn, 1919 Harrison Street; Java Station Drive Thru, 1927 N. Main Street or Red Band Coffee, 110 W. 13th Street. Maybe even grab a breakfast sandwich or get some sweet rolls or donuts from East Side Bakery, 1501 N. Harrison or Donuts & More, 1717 Brady. Mary Sue’s Café, 1615 N. Harrison or Rock’s Anchor Grill, 1526 N. Harrison can serve you up a full breakfast!

Many of the stores open at 10 a.m. or before on Saturday for your shopping convenience. Stop in at Hat’s, Hair ‘n Wigs, 1515 N. Harrison and take a gander at the many styles of wigs and men and women’s hat or headgear. Check out the comic books and sports cards at Superstars & Superheroes, 1527 N. Harrison. Browse around Winnie’s Wishes, 1605 N. Harrison; The Estate Sale Shop, 1326 Brady or Rocket Resale, 1228 Brady to find unique trinkets, jewelry and what-nots. Hickory Hollow Signs, 1525 N. But what makes this Mother’s Day Eve special is the programming that starts at 4 p.m. Children’s events held in the Hilltop Plaza Park on 15th and Harrison will include making fairy gardens and constructing chalk walks. A family movie will be shown on an inflatable outdoor movie screen. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, sleeping bags, picnic baskets and snacks. Enjoy a movie under the stars!

“Where is the Hilltop Campus Village?” you ask. It is in Davenport, with 5th Street as the south border, going up Perry on the east to Lombard as the north boundary. Going to Gaines on the west to encompass St. Ambrose University. Coming down Gaines to Locust, then back east to Ripley, then southward to 5th.
